Combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Flower Essence Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Flower Essence Therapy are complementary tools to change the way that we respond to our internal and external environments. Through the use of the Flower Affinity Diagnosis, one can access the deep root of issues and character traits that are affecting the here and now. The Flower Essence Baihui Diagnosis is then used so that the patient can have a direct experience with the healing of their issue. Through this process the insight needed for sustainable change is found. Remedies that are prescribed based on the outcome of the Baihui Diagnosis are then taken daily to support the integration of the healing/change process that was experienced during the Baihui Therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is complementary to Flower Essence Therapy as it is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events. The benefit of this understanding is that we can do the internal work with the aid of Flower Essence Therapy to help change the way we think, feel and act in a healthier way even when the situation does not change.
CBT therapists believe the client changes because they understand how and why they are doing well and they know what to do to continue doing well. However people often act against what they know is good for them. Taking the flower essence remedy supports the healing journey’s progress and minimizes the backward steps in the process. Cognitive Behavioral Techniques such as testing newly explored perspectives, guided relaxation techniques and visualizations assist the individuals growth towards change. Practitioner - Satyam Brown
